The UK Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation recently updated The Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (SI 2019/855) by adding two individuals to the consolidated list for their involvement in destabilizing Ukraine or undermining or threatening its territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence. The designees, Didier Casimiro and Zeljko Runje, were removed from the consolidated list on July 15, 2022 but were re-added to the list on August 2, 2022 for being current or former board members for the PJSC Rosneft Oil Company who obtain a benefit from or support the Government of Russia. Both individuals are subject to an asset freeze. According to the financial sanctions notice, OFSI also delisted 1 individual and amended the entries of 18 others.
On August 2, 2022, OFSI also updated 47 entries for persons designated under The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (SI 2019/411). According to the financial sanctions notice, 45 entries were amended and 2 entries were corrected. OFSI reports that all designees are still subject to an asset freeze.
Also on August 2, 2022, OFSI updated 3 entries for persons designated under The Venezuela (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulation 2019 (SI 2019/135). OFSI reports that 1 entry was amended and 2 entries were corrected; however, all designees remain subject to an asset freeze.
