On July 3, 2023, the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Department of the Treasury updated its guidance on filing the 2023 annual report of blocked property. The filing requirement applies to persons holding blocked property as of June 30 of the relevant year, and is due by the last day of September. The report must be submitted electronically, either by email or through OFAC’s online reporting system, ORS. The reporting form requires detailed information about the blocked assets, their value, and the authority or authorities pursuant to which they are blocked.
