Poland’s National Cybersecurity System Act, which was passed into law on July 5, 2018, is designed to complement the GDPR, and requires digital service providers and essential services companies registered in Poland to monitor cybersecurity threats, to take preventive measures to manage risk and minimize the damage caused by breaches, and to report incidents within 24 hours. The Act may impact foreign companies doing business in Poland as well.
