German court rules on applicability of GDPR, right to be forgotten

The former managing director of a charitable organization with 500 employees and tens of thousands of registered members sued a US-based search engine operator to enjoin the defendant from responding to search requests containing the plaintiff’s name and health information. The Frankfurter Oberlandesgericht (Frankfurt Higher Regional Court) issued an opinion and dismissed the claim.
