Royal Dutch Shell plc issued a press release stating that the Dutch Public Prosecutor’s Office has informed the company that it is nearing the end of its investigation and is preparing to criminally prosecute Shell in connection with the 2011 settlement of disputes about a prospecting license in Nigeria.
