On October 9, 2023, the Council of the EU extended Nicaragua-related sanctions for an additional year, until October 15, 2024. The Council also adopted Council Decision (CFSP) 2023/2127 and Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2125 to update the statement of reasons for the designation of six natural persons and one entity that were previously listed under Regulation (EU) 2019/1716 in 2021 and 2022.
On the same day, the Council adopted Council Decision (CFSP) 2023/2126 and Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2121 to amend Iran-related sanctions concerning one entity that was designated in 2012.
