As we observe Data Privacy Day 2022, many organizations – and the privacy and data security professionals they employ – are faced with significant questions about the data they collect, and how they use, share, and secure that data. New state laws coming into effect across the United States, aggressive regulators in the U.S. and increased enforcement of GDPR in the EU, and continued uncertainty for cross-border data transfers from the EU are just some of the issues that will occupy our time and attention over the next year.
In light of this, it is our pleasure to share with you the 2022 Willkie Cybersecurity and Privacy Review, which identifies some of the major issues raised by the events of the last year and the steps organizations can take to prepare for the year ahead.
