DOJ dismisses bribery charges against former Senegalese official in CEFC case

The Department of Justice dismissed its indictment against Cheikh Tidiane Gadio, the former Senegalese Minister of Foreign Affairs, who allegedly conspired with Chi Ping Patrick Ho, former employee of a Hong Kong research organization, to bribe African government officials on behalf of CEFC China Energy Company Limited, a Chinese energy conglomerate with ties to the Chinese government.  Ho pleaded not guilty in January of this year.
