The Department of Justice dismissed its indictment against Cheikh Tidiane Gadio, the former Senegalese Minister of Foreign Affairs, who allegedly conspired with Chi Ping Patrick Ho, former employee of a Hong Kong research organization, to bribe African government officials on behalf of CEFC China Energy Company Limited, a Chinese energy conglomerate with ties to the Chinese government. Ho pleaded not guilty in January of this year. His trial is set to begin on November 26.
