The former CEO and a marketing executive of SBM Offshore, N.V. and SBM USA, respectively, were sentenced to 36 and 30 months in prison, respectively, in connection with their guilty plea to conspiracy to violate the FCPA by bribing foreign officials in Brazil, Angola, and Equatorial Guinea in order to secure lucrative oil services contracts. The duo are also required to pay fines totaling US $200,000.
