Following mediation, Sonic Drive-In agreed to pay over $4.3 million to settle a class action suit brought by customers who claimed that the company did not take adequate measures to protect their data. Hackers successfully obtained thousands of customers’ credit card information in cyberattacks between April and October 2017.
