ABA issues opinion detailing attorney obligations in the event of a data breach

The American Bar Association has issued Formal Opinion 483, based on the Model Rules of Professional Conduct, to elaborate attorneys’ obligations in the event of a data breach that results in the compromise of material client confidential information.
