The Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Department of the Treasury has designated an Armenian airline service provider, Iran-based Qeshm Fars Air, and two militias that are backed by Iran and based in Syria. According to OFAC, the two militias provide material support to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force (IRGC-QF). Qeshm Fars (along with its two B747 aircraft) was designated for being owned or controlled by Mahan Air, a designated airline, and for providing material support to the IRGC-QF. The service provider, Flight Travel LLC, was designated for acting on behalf of Mahan Air, which transports personnel and weapons in Syria. All five entities are being designated under Executive Order 13224; the militias and the IRGC-QF are designated under Executive Order 13553 as well for perpetrating human rights violations.
