Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes S.A, a Brazilian airline based in Rio de Janeiro, reported that it voluntarily informed the US Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Comissão de Valores Mobiliários (the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission) that it had concluded an external independent investigation into payments made to politically exposed persons. The company noted that no current employees, representatives or members of the board were knowledgeable of any illegal purpose or illicit benefit derived from the payments.
