A federal magistrate judge in Pennsylvania has granted preliminary approval to a $50 million settlement from fast-food chain Wendy’s to a class of financial institutions for reimbursements they made to customers whose credit and bank card information was stolen in a 2016 data breach. The settlement is subject to final approval following a hearing in November.
