Herbalife Nutrition Ltd., a dietary and nutritional supplement company, has updated investors about the status of ongoing investigations by the DOJ and the SEC into possible FCPA violations by the company’s China external affairs department. In prior filings, the company had disclosed that the DOJ and the SEC asked for documentation on multiple occasions, and that Herbalife had conducted its own review and taken remedial steps including the termination of several employees. In its most recent 10-Q filing, Herbalife disclosed that it has begun negotiations with the government regarding a possible resolution to the matter.
