The Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Department of the Treasury has designated four Venezuelan nationals pursuant to Executive Order 13692. The four are a division general, two colonels and a major in the Dirección General de Contrainteligencia Militar (General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence, or DGCIM), which was designated on July 11, 2019 pursuant to Executive Order 13850, for systematic human rights abuses and the repression of dissent.
Following the designations, all US property of the designated individuals is blocked, and US persons are generally prohibited from dealing with such property.
