In its July 18, 2019 10-Q, Honeywell International Inc., a US supplier of engineering products and services, reported that it is being investigated by the US Department of Justice (DOJ), the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and Brazilian enforcement authorities in connection with bribery investigations related to Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras). In particular, Honeywell stated that the investigations are focused on third parties that Honeywell had engaged to conduct business with Petrobras. Honeywell also disclosed that the DOJ and SEC are investigating a Honeywell subsidiary’s engagement of Unaoil S.A.M. in Algeria. Honeywell stated that it is cooperating with these investigations.
