In its Form 10-Q filed on July 31, 2019, R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company, a commercial printing and business communications company, reported that it had received a subpoena from the Securities and Exchange Commission in April 2019, related to what the company described as “previous business dealings” with the Brazilian Ministry of Education. The Company added that the US Department of Justice and Brazilian authorities are also investigating the matter. R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company stated that it is cooperating with these investigations. The company’s Brazilian subsidiary, RR Donnelley Editora e Grafica Ltda, filed for bankruptcy in Brazil in March 2019.
