On December 28, 2020, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control issued five new Frequently Asked Questions related to Executive Order 13959, “Addressing the Threat from Securities Investments that Finance Communist Chinese Military Companies,” that was recently issued on November 12, 2020 by President Donald Trump. OFAC has also updated the list of entities identified in EO 13959 as Communist Chinese military companies. The new FAQs that were issued by OFAC, are 857, 858, 859, 860, and 861.
