On March 18, 2021, Toyota Motor Corporation disclosed in a securities filing that, in April 2020, it had reported possible anti-bribery violations related to a Thai subsidiary to the US Department of the Justice and US Securities & Exchange Commission. Toyota stated that it was cooperating with the DOJ and SEC investigations and could not predict the scope, duration, or outcome of these investigations.
