On December 13, 2021, the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation announced upcoming changes to the structure and format of the UK Sanctions List that will include new aliases used for UN listings as well as new fields and field names, among other changes. The changes will be occurring in February 2022, and there will be no material updates to listings when the change occurs. Businesses and industries that regularly use the UK Sanctions List are encouraged to review the guidance prepared by the FCDO and OFSI in order to better understand and prepare for these changes.
