On May 2, 2025, in a securities filing, multinational medical technologies company Stryker Corporation revealed that the U.S. Department of Justice had closed an inquiry into possible violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”) by the company. According to the Form 10-Q, Stryker was informed by the DOJ on April 1, 2025, that DOJ’s FCPA inquiry had been closed without further action. Stryker also stated that, in addition to the DOJ investigation, it has been cooperating with the Securities and Exchange Commission in its investigation regarding possible FCPA violations. The SEC investigation appears to be ongoing.
