On March 14, 2024, the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned three individuals and two entities pursuant to Executive Order 14115, a sanctions regime established on February 1, 2024 to target individuals and entities that engage in actions that undermine peace, security, and stability in the West Bank. The U.S. Department of State concurrently designated the same individuals and entities under EO 14115 for their efforts to threaten or attack Palestinian civilians in the West Bank. According to the State Department, the United States designated Neriya Ben Pazi, for expelling Palestinian shepherds from hundreds of acres of land in the West Bank. The United States also designated Zvi Bar Yosef and Moshe Sharvit, as well as farms that they each own, for engaging in similar actions. As a result of these designations, all property and interests in property of the designated persons within the United States or within the possession or control of a U.S. person are blocked, and U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in transactions involving a designated person. Entities owned 50 percent or more by one or more blocked persons are also blocked.
