The UK recently adopted The Russian (Sanctions) (Overseas Territories) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2023 to extend modifications made to the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulation 2019 (SI 2019/855) (the Russia sanctions regulations”) to all British overseas territories except Bermuda and Gibraltar. The amendment, which came into force on July 20, 2023, relates to modifications made to the Russia sanctions regulations that prohibit the export of goods to the non-government controlled Ukrainian territory; the import of certain processed iron and steel products and revenue generating goods from Russia; and the provision of certain professional and business services.
