On December 8, 2023, the United Nations Security Council added four individuals to its sanctions list pursuant to resolution 2653 concerning Haiti. The designations, which were adopted under Chapter VII of the Charter of the UN, were imposed upon Haitian nationals who are leaders of the 5 Segond, Grand Ravine, Kraze Barye and 400 Mawozo gangs.
