White House extends certain Libya-related, Ukraine-related, and Iran-related regimes for one year

The United States recently extended three sanctions regimes for an additional year.  The White House announced that President Biden continued Executive Order 13566 to extend the national emergency with respect to Libya on February 21, 2024; continued EO 13660 to extend the national emergency with respect to Ukraine on March 4, 2024; and continued EO 12957 to extend the national emergency with respect to Iran on March 12, 2024.  The White House reported that all the three sanctions regimes were extended after authorities determined that the situations in Libya, Ukraine and Iran continue to pose unusual and extraordinary threats to U.S. national security and foreign policy.
