On November 10, 2022, the Council of the EU adopted Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/2194 and Council Decision (CFSP) 2022/2201 to extend its Venezuela sanctions regime for another year, due to the ongoing political, economic, social and humanitarian crisis that exists in Venezuela and the persistent actions that continue to undermine Venezuela’s democracy, rule of law and respect for human rights. The regime was extended until November 14, 2023.
