In a recent securities filing, GE HealthCare Technologies Inc. (“GE HealthCare”) revealed that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice had closed their respective investigations into possible violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”) by the company. According to the Form 10-Q, GE HealthCare received letters from the SEC on May 16, 2025, and from the DOJ on May 28, 2025, indicating that each investigation was closed and that no further action would be taken. GE HealthCare reported that the investigations related to “tender irregularities and other potential violations of the FCPA” involving the company’s activities in China. The company said it had made voluntary self-disclosures to each agency back in 2018, had been fully cooperating with each investigation, and had enhanced, and was continuing to enhance, its compliance program.
