EU sanctions are enforced by individual member states.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance (for financial and trade sanctions) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (for military equipment-related sanctions) implement sanctions in France.

As violations of economic sanctions are criminal offenses under French law, the Public Prosecutor is in charge of the prosecution of sanctions offenses, assisted by customs officers, and the criminal courts.
