The Serious Fraud Office is the primary agency responsible for enforcement of the Bribery Act, although the Crown Prosecution Service may also prosecute Bribery Act offenses, and the Financial Conduct Authority can bring regulatory proceedings where firms in the regulated sector fail to put in place adequate systems and controls to prevent bribery.
